    Our experience with Theo was terrific. Theo was great with my son. He developed a positive relationship with him based on sincerity, respect, trust and a deep personal connection. In their lessons, Theo was encouraging, creative and kind. … More He helped our son understand how to differentiate the sounds he made when he spoke, and gave him great exercises to practice every week between lessons. Our son was sorry to have the lessons come to an end, but recognized that Theo had helped him as much as possible and it was time for him to stop. Theo explained to him (and us) how to keep working to get the last 5%, and encouraged him to keep working on the exercises on his own. I have recommended Theo to another parent who noticed my son's improvement and inquired for her own son.

Mary Bell graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communicative Disorders. She received her Master’s of Science degree in Speech Pathology from Boston University. She is certified by the state of New York and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associate (ASHA). She is also a level one PROMPT-trained therapist.

Mary has spent the majority of her eleven years in the field working with the pediatric population in private practices or in-home as a private speech and language pathologist. Her career has afforded her previous opportunities to work with children and adults of all ages and disabilities in Boston, Los Angeles, and abroad in Kuwait. She received her B.A. and M.A. in Communication Disorders from California State University at Long Beach. Since that time, she has been a 3-time recipient of the ASHA Award for Continuing Education. She is an experienced telepractioner, having worked exclusively in telepractice since 2011. She is passionate about telepractice as a therapy model that is engaging and immensely effective. Kathryn

Mindie has over 13 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist.
Mindie has experience evaluating and providing therapy for children and adults with language learning disabilities, speech disorders, fluency disorders, hearing impairment and autism. She has attended numerous continuing education seminars on a variety of topics including: Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), intervention for Central Auditory processing Disorder (CAPD), improving pragmatic/social language skills in children, vocabulary strategies and interventions to improve reading fluency. Diahann
Diahann C.

Diahann is a New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Diahann currently works as an acute care speech-language pathologist in a New York City hospital where she specializes in evaluating and treating neonates and young children with feeding and swallowing disorders in addition to speech and language delays within the pediatric population. She also works collaboratively in interdisciplinary outpatient clinics and performs hospital-based videofluoroscopic swallow evaluations.

Throughout her career, Diahann has worked in a variety of settings ranging from children’s hospitals to outpatient, private home care, elementary schools, and even long-term rehabilitation centers for adults.

Areas of experience include pediatric/school-aged children with speech/language and articulation disorders, developmental delays, feeding and communication-based difficulties in the setting of medically complex diagnoses including craniofacial anomalies (cleft lip and palate), aerodigestive diseases, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary involvement.

Diahann has a strong interest in providing speech and feeding interventions that address the whole child. Francine is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist and is licensed in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. She is a certified Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped and holds supervisory certification. She received her masters degree at Herbert H. Lehman College and her undergraduate degree at SUNY New Paltz. Francine has over four decades of experience working in public schools, out-patient clinics, and teletherapy. She is a consultant to area preschools and presents workshops on Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and Early Language Development.

Over the years, Francine has kept abreast of current trends and completed multiple advanced training courses which enables her to incorporate new, evidenced-based therapies into each session. She is recognized by Apraxia Kids as an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of CAS. Francine has received extensive training in techniques proven effective for treating CAS including Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) and Rapid Syllable Transition Training (ReST). She has also received training in PROMPT and the Cycles Approach for the treatment of phonological disorders. With a large array of methods at her disposal, Francine is able to design personalized therapy plans to meet the individual needs of each child. Andrea has worked for The New York City Department of Education since 2006 and has provided Speech & Language intervention services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade for students with various language and learning needs. Andrea also provided Early Intervention services to children ages birth to 3 in New York City. During her professional career, Ashley has gained therapeutic and diagnostic experiences in a range of diagnoses and disorders. She considers it a privilege to have such a dynamic career that allows children to help find their voice through various modalities of language.

Ashley has worked with children from early intervention to young adulthood (birth-21 years of age). She has serviced these children in a range of settings which include schools, specialized clinics, and private homes. Ashley takes pride in conducting differentiated speech-language therapy based on a child’s needs and interests. Music, in particular, has been a powerful teaching tool for language elicitation, for adults with aphasia, and for all ages who are pre- or non verbal. Specifically, the temporal and pitch aspects of music often nudge the brain to compensate for difficulties speaking, by using songs, rhythm work, and coordination of movements to help elicit communication.

Gabriela s varied experiences allows her to identify and address challenges in skill areas such as pragmatic/social language, expressive-receptive language delays, narrative development, articulation, and developing executive functioning skills to set the stage for successful academics and learning. In addition to an emphasis on evidence based practice, her therapy philosophy includes increasing her clients motivations (such as a child’s wants and needs) to get the most interest and progress from every client she works with. Chelsea is an NYS licensed bilingual speech-language pathologist and Certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) with a bilingual extension. She speaks English and Spanish. She maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Chelsea completed her Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders at Adelphi University. Additionally, Chelsea is currently working towards a pediatric health coach certificate through Epidemic Answers.

Chelsea believes in a holistic approach to servicing each child’s bio-individual needs. She utilizes a play-based and family-centered approach in her sessions so that they are both fun and functional. She enjoys providing parent training/coaching and believes it is the foundation for every child’s success.

Chelsea has worked in various settings including NYC Department of Education-District 75, early intervention, and private practice. She has had specialized feeding & swallowing training at a NICU through NY Medical College’s Pediatric Dysphagia Advanced Certificate program. Chelsea is experienced in providing feeding assessments and therapy to complex “picky eaters”. Sessions include but are not limited to SOS approach (Sequential Oral Sensory) through food play/exposure, creating meal-time plans, discussing parent-child mealtime roles through responsive parenting/feeding approach, oral motor skills (i.e., chewing, open cup/straw drinking, safe swallowing, etc.), increasing food repertoire, food chaining, transitioning from puree to solids, etc.

Chelsea’s experiences in the elementary school setting have focused on building communication skills and access to the curriculum of both monolingual and bilingual verbal and non-verbal children on the autism spectrum as well as those with developmental disabilities and learning disabilities through receptive/expressive language (i.e., following directions, increasing utterance length, identifying and labeling nouns/actions, describing, grammar, etc), reading comprehension (vocabulary, inferencing, sequencing, identifying main idea/supporting details, story grammar elements, etc.) and building social skills.

Chelsea is also trained in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in high-tech dynamic display devices such as LAMP, TouchChat, Proloquo2go, and GoTalk NOW. Including mid-tech static display devices such as GoTalk 4, 9, and 32+, big mac switches, as well as, low-tech communication boards, and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) in literacy-based instruction and functional communication.

Hannah is a New York State and Connecticut State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who received her undergraduate degree from Manhattanville College and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New York Medical College (a medically oriented master’s program). She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is a Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing Disorders (BCS-S), an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a Certified Neonatal Therapist (CNT). For nearly the last decade, Hannah has worked in a variety of acute care settings including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and various multidisciplinary clinics working with children with aerodigestive anomalies/difficulties, velopharyngeal port dysfunction, muscular dystrophy, and craniofacial anomalies. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at New York Medical College, training post-graduate licensed clinicians in pediatric feeding and swallowing. She specializes in complex, medically-based feeding/swallowing disorders, as well as sensory and behaviorally based feeding difficulties, as well as picky eaters. Her area of passion is working with infants with feeding and swallowing difficulties and providing education to caregivers/families.

Paige is a New York State licensed Speech and Language Pathologist who is certified as a Teacher of Children with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) and has a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Paige attended Columbia University’s Teachers College where she received her Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology. She also attended the University of Rochester where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Arts.

Paige has gained experience providing speech and language services within a variety of settings. She completed her fieldwork at SUNY Downstate’s Infant and Child Learning Center working with pre-school aged children, at the Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders at Columbia University treating school-aged children, at The Shield Institute working with developmentally disabled adults, and at the Ryken Program at Xaverian High School in Bayridge Brooklyn treating male adolescents with learning disabilities.

In addition to providing private home-based treatment, Paige currently provides center-based services at an EI (early intervention) program in East Harlem and at a Head Start school on the Lower East Side within an integrated classroom. She specializes in treating children with autism, specific language impairments, apraxia, feeding difficulties (e.g. picky eating), selective mutism, and other developmental delays and disabilities. Paige takes an interdisciplinary approach by collaborating with other specialists working with children on her caseload (e.g. Occupational Therapists, ABA Therapists, Developmental Psychologists, and Physical Therapists). Additionally, she is an active member of a quality assurance team with NYCIT (New York Center for Infants and Toddlers), making sure that the quality of paperwork of other SLPs is aligned with New York State standards.
