We, at the NYU Child Study Center, are researching brain function in children with and without autism spectrum disorders.
Participation consists of 2-3 visits, which include a no-cost diagnostic/ psychoeducational evaluation and an fMRI scan. Upon completion of the study, families will receive a written report summarizing the results of the evaluation. Participation is voluntary and compensation will be provided.

As a new parent to an 9-month old boy, I busy myself reading child development books and checking online resources, to assure myself that he is meeting his developmental milestones each month. While we are playing and having fun, I am assessing his emerging gross and fine motor skills, listening to his burgeoning language, and marveling at his cognitive gains.
