Question: Do you provide speech therapy?
Answer: We provide speech therapy. Our Speech-language pathologists (or speech and language therapists, speech therapists, or simply, SLPs) prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive communication, social communication, voice, and feeding disorders. Working with individuals of all ages—babies to adults—SLPs conduct one-on-one therapy sessions and provide information for families, support groups, and the general public.

Question: Do you have an office or do you provide in-home services?
Answer: We are not brick-and-mortar but travel throughout the Queens NYC area. We will come to you! What is the zip code and cross streets of where you want services to take place? If you want remote services, please let us know that you prefer remote services. We also offer hybrid services!

Question: Do you provide speech evaluation services?
Answer: Our speech-language evaluation includes at least a one-hour visit where we meet you and your child, review previous reports, testing, etc., and produce a 1.5—to 3-page report with professional impressions, recommendations, and goals (if services are recommended) within ten business days. This report can be presented to private schools and professionals. It cannot be used for IEPs. It helps establish the need for significant but mild articulation and expressive language therapy and updates current speech-language therapy goals. We diagnose language disorders, expressive language disorder, expressive- receptive language disorder, speech disorder, apraxia of speech, phonological disorder, speech delay, language delay, developmental language disorder, oral motor issues, feeding disorder, and dysphagia. 

Question: Do you accept insurance?
Answer: We do not accept any third-party payments, including insurance, Early Intervention, Board of Education (CPSE/CSE), Enhanced Rates, RSAs, Vouchers, Medicaid, Medicare, etc. We are out of pocket, and here is the range of our rates.

Question: Do you want Queens Letters to offer a free service to check if you have out-of-network (OON) speech-language benefits, which can greatly simplify the process for parents and provide valuable information about potential savings in speech-language therapy costs?
Answer: Queens Letters offers a helpful service for parents by checking to determine if their health insurance provides out-of-network (OON) benefits for speech-language therapy. This can potentially lead to significant savings on therapy costs. If your insurance plan covers OON services, you may receive partial reimbursement for sessions with speech-language therapists, even if they are not within your insurance network. Remember that while Queens Letters can assist in determining your estimated eligibility for these benefits, upfront payment for all services will still be required to be paid directly to the therapist every week. The therapist will provide you with a monthly invoice to submit to your insurance company for approved OON reimbursement.

Answer: We do not offer these neuropsychological evaluations, but we collaborate closely with a select group of top-notch neuropsychologists in this region. Knowing your location preferences will enable us to connect you with the most fitting evaluator(s).

Question: Do you offer Social Skills Groups?
Answer: We do not offer a Social Skills group, but we are happy to recommend a handful of social skills groups in your area. Our speech therapists can offer one-on-one social skills sessions.

Question: Do you provide assessments for ASD?
Answer: We do not provide ASD diagnoses; however, we work closely with a select group of exceptional neuropsychologists who specialize in evaluating autism. If you share your location preferences, we can connect you with our colleagues. Our speech-language therapists conduct evaluations to address speech and language concerns commonly observed in autism, ranging from nonverbal to highly verbal individuals with ASD.

Question: Do you provide dyslexia assessments or evaluations?
Answer: We do not conduct dyslexia assessments or evaluations directly but collaborate closely with a select group of top-notch neuropsychologists specializing in dyslexia. Letting us know your location preferences will help us connect you with our colleagues. Our speech-language therapists perform comprehensive assessments on language and literacy, and our literacy specialists evaluate decoding, spelling, and reading fluency.

Note: While we do not diagnose dyslexia, we provide comprehensive literacy assessments that identify specific language and literacy weaknesses. This enables us to tailor interventions for effective support.

Question: Do you offer Occupational Therapy?
Answer: We do not offer Occupational Therapy, but we are happy to recommend a handful of Occupational Therapists in your area.
